1950. Giorgos Kontopoulos creates his small, family-run workshop and starts operations, specialising in the production of furniture made of solid wood, in classical lines.
1980. Alexandros Kontopoulos takes the lead in the workshop, continuing his father’s course and philosophy on the manufacture of furniture. Along with a team of excellent technicians, he will be able to showcase classic furniture design by exploiting the properties of solid wood and respectfully enriching the traditional techniques.
Today. Kontopoulos bros, Giorgos and Gregoris –after their experience as workshop employees in which they have gained substantial experience and the know-how– now give the family business the dynamics required by modern times. Maintaining high-quality standards at each stage of the production, they have shaped a well-structured strategy that provides the ground for opening up in new markets while adopting new practices in manufacturing functionality, special design aesthetic approaches and adaptation of raw materials to the conditions of a green policy using certified timber coming from controlled wood felling.
